I use a water filter at the campground’s freshwater connection, but I didn’t want the weight of the filter hanging on the connection. I bought an 18-inch weighted PVC traffic cone for less than $10. First, I slid the filter wrench onto the cone to measure the size of the filter housing. Then I marked the spot and cut off the top of the cone. Next, I slid the filter assembly into the cone, and added quick-connect hose attachments for easy on and off. Now, hooking up is a breeze, and the cone is more visible, which helps avoid bumping into the filter assembly.
