Former MVP RV vice president joins Winnebago

Winnebago Scott Degnan

Winnebago Industries has elected Scott Degnan to the position of vice president of sales and product management, effective May 29.  In his new position with the Forest City, Iowa-based manufacturer, Degnan will be responsible for all sales, product direction, marketing and service for the company’s Winnebago, Itasca and Era brand motorhome lines.

“We are pleased to welcome Scott to Winnebago Industries,” said Winnebago Industries Chairman, CEO and President Randy Potts. “He brings tremendous experience in sales and product management to the position, and we expect that he will be able to make immediate, positive contributions to our organization.”

Bill O’Leary, Winnebago’s VP of product development, said his and Degnan’s teams will work to integrate product decisions so they “can react quicker to consumer preferences, offer new and exciting features and floorplans, and continue to bring innovation, quality, and value to our dealers and customers.”

Degnan brings almost 25 years of extensive RV sales and product management experience to his new role. Prior to joining Winnebago Industries, Degnan served as vice president of sales for Riverside, Calif.’s MVP RV. Degnan also served in management and sales positions with Coachmen RV, Alpha Leisure, National RV and Fleetwood Enterprises.

“I was drawn to Winnebago Industries by the open-minded and out-of-the-norm approach their management has laid out, providing an ideal platform from which to grow this iconic industry powerhouse,” Degnan said. “Winnebago Industries’ impressive new 2013 product lineup is just the first of many exciting new steps we will be taking in the coming months.”

A native of Riverside, Degnan will soon relocate from Palm Desert, Calif., to the Forest City, Iowa area.

  1. My husband and I purchased a new 2014 winnebago and have not gotten much use out of it. Been in shop for so many items that we have canceled several planned trips, and even been on trips with not step and no hot water.
We have been paying for a coach since June and this last time it has been in the shop since the 27th of Dec. My husband has confidence that it will be fixed, I don’t. I would like to exchange our coach for a new one that works or be accommodated for payments while this coach is continually being fixed.

Please let me know who I can talk to to get this resolved, so disappointed.
