Dancing in the Firelight

Perhaps in no other culture has the act of dancing assumed such an integral part of society. For Native American Indians, such rhythmic movements connoted worship, praise, rebirth and forgiveness. American Indians danced before the harvest and danced before war.

As one chronicler of Native American lore noted, “Dancing is an art that was here before the conception of art ever existed.”
