RV Adventures in the Pacific Northwest

Mike and Terri Church have written their fourth travel guide, designed for RVers planning
to visit the states of Washington and Oregon and the province of British Columbia. The book
is organized into eight one-week itineraries departing from the gateway cities of Seattle,
Washington; Portland, Oregon; and Vancouver, British Columbia. Among the destinations
covered are the Olympic Peninsula, Mount St. Helens, the Oregon coast, the Columbia Gorge,
Victoria and Vancouver Island, Banff and Lake Louise, Mount Rainier, the North Cascades,
Oregon Trail sites in northern Oregon, the Yakima Valley wine country and Hells Canyon.
Maps, black-and-white photographs and written descriptions guide motorhomers along scenic
and easy-to-negotiate routes, highlighting seashores, snow-topped mountains, old-growth
forests, visitor-friendly cities and national parks. For each day’s itinerary, distance is
given in both miles and kilometers, as well as total time required for motorhome driving
and any necessary ferry crossings. The authors also suggest options to shorten or lengthen
each trip, and include descriptions of local points of interest, community events and
activities to be enjoyed along the way. There is a map for each tour and a list of
recommended RV campgrounds. Ferry-service information, RV-rental sources, border-crossing
requirements, Internet sites and resources for state, provincial and local travel
information are also included, making this a comprehensive reference book for one of the
most popular RVing destinations in North America. RV Adventures in the Pacific Northwest
(213 pages, softbound) is available at bookstores or from Rolling Homes Press; call (888)
