is completing the first phase of a three-year, multimillion-dollar
improvement plan on its newly acquired 251-site Emerald Desert RV Resort
in the Southern California community of Palm Desert.
â€œWhen people arrive at Emerald Desert RV Resort, they will enjoy a
vacation resort experience as luxurious as any premier resort could
provide,â€ Deborah Elliott, a principal of San Diego-based ID Studios
Inc., who is overseeing the effort for SunLand, said in a news release.
La Jolla, Calif.-based SunLand is investing more than $1 million in
the improvements this summer to prepare for the arrival of snowbirds in
Other improvements include enhancing the pool area and fitness center; and installing energy-efficient laundry facilities.
Plans for 2010 and 2011 call for new furnishings and dÃ©cor for the
resortâ€™s clubhouse and ballroom; a sports and entertainment lounge; and a
new pet park and grooming center. Special event catering services and
motorcoach washing and detailing services will also be added.

amenities and the highest quality guest services,â€ said Reza Paydar,
president and CEO of La SunLand, which purchased Emerald Desert RV
Resort in June.
SunLand is one of the largest RV resort chains in California. It owns other resorts in Hemet, Escondido, La Mesa and El Cajon.
