June Officially Declared ‘RV Centennial Celebration Month’

RVIA Centennial LogoThe U.S. Senate, recognizing the RV industry’s Centennial this year, has officially declared June “RV Centennial Celebration Month.”

 

Also, the U.S. House of Representatives adopted a resolution May 26
“recognizing and honoring the 100 years of enjoyment of RVs in the
United States.” The resolution passed by a unanimous voice vote. The
Senate’s resolution was adopted on May 14.

The House resolution, sponsored by Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), had
54 additional co-sponsors. The Senate resolution was introduced by
Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana, and was also championed by bipartisan
co-sponsors from key RV-producing states, including Senators Richard
Lugar of Indiana, Mike Crapo of Idaho, Jeff Merkley of Oregon, Ron Wyden
of Oregon, Charles Schumer of New York and George Voinovich of Ohio.
