Jayco Corp. announced today that it is relocating production of its
Entegra Coach subsidiary to the company’s Middlebury, Indiana
facilities. Beginning in February 2009, Jayco will close the
subsidiary’s location in Wakarusa, Indiana.
“We sincerely regret the hardship [this places] on the Entegra
Coach employees and their families. Current recessionary conditions,
characterized by a severe decline in the supply of credit… have
underscored the necessity of further efforts to reduce operating costs,”
said Jayco president and CEO Derald Bontrager.
Bontrager emphasized that the company will continue to build
Entegra products and that Entegra Coach will operate with a separate
dealer organization and separate sales and product development team. All
other aspects of the Entegra Coach ongoing operations will be
integrated into Jayco’s existing departments in Middlebury.
